Terms of Service

Scope of Work

All work performed by Renovate 614 will be detailed in a written estimate or contract, including a project description, timeline, and agreed-upon price. Any changes to the original scope of work must be requested in writing and may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments.

Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are free and provided based on the information available at the time. Estimates may be subject to change if hidden damage or additional work is discovered after the project begins. Clients will be informed of any changes before additional work is performed.

Payments and Deposits

A deposit is required before work begins, typically 30–50% of the total project cost. Progress payments may be required based on project milestones. Final payment is due upon project completion. Late payments may be subject to interest charges or delays in project progression.

Scheduling and Delays

We do our best to complete all projects on time, but unforeseen delays may occur due to weather, material availability, permit processing, or other factors beyond our control. Renovate 614 will communicate any significant changes to the timeline.

Permits and Inspections

Renovate 614 will secure all necessary permits and coordinate required inspections unless otherwise agreed upon. We ensure that all work meets applicable building codes and regulations.

Materials and Product Selection

Clients are responsible for selecting finishes such as paint colors, flooring, tile, and fixtures in a timely manner. Delays in selection may impact project scheduling. Renovate 614 is not responsible for manufacturer delays or backordered products.

Warranty

We stand by our work. Renovate 614 offers a 1-year limited workmanship warranty on all completed projects unless otherwise stated in your contract. Manufacturer warranties for products and materials are separate and handled through the respective suppliers.

Access to Property

Clients agree to provide reasonable access to the property during working hours. Please ensure pets and valuables are secured during the renovation process. Renovate 614 is not responsible for damage caused by unsecured pets or third-party interference.

Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel a project before work begins by providing written notice. Deposits may be partially refundable depending on material purchases and time invested in planning. Once work has begun, cancellation may result in forfeiture of the deposit or additional fees.

Liability and Insurance

Renovate 614 is fully insured for general liability and workers’ compensation. We are not responsible for damages caused by pre-existing structural issues, faulty electrical or plumbing systems, or conditions not visible during the initial inspection.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes that arise will be addressed first through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration in the state of Ohio, per local business law.
